GLHS will be having another book fair during the week of September 24! Get ready to pick up a favorite new book!!
If your student has been absent 7 or more times in any class this trimester without medical documentation, they are at risk of losing credit and participating in any extracurricular activities. Saturday School will be held on the following dates from 8:00am - 11:00am in the Media Center:
SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Acceptance) meetings will begin on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. Meetings will take place in Ms. Bronson's room - room 223. Meetings will start at 3:00 and last for one hour. We hope to see you there!
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, September 25th and Thursday, September 27th from 4:30 - 7:30pm in the high school cafeteria. To schedule conferences for your student, go to the high school website (http://glcomets.net/ourschools/high-school-grades-9---12/grandledgehighschool/), scroll down the page and click on the blue "Parent/Teacher Conferences Sign-Up" icon and follow the prompts. Please note that when receiving your confirmation email for conferences, it will be sent from PTCFast.com. If you do not have internet access and need assistance scheduling your conferences, please contact the school office at 517-925-5815. We look forward to seeing you at conferences!
The Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA), a federal law, requires that Grand Ledge Public Schools (GLPS), with certain exceptions, obtain your written consent prior to the disclosure of personally identifiable information from your child's educational records. However, GLPS may disclose appropriately designated student directory information without written consent for yearbooks, honor roll, sports activities, drama playbills and for publications and other media. If you do not want us to disclose your child's directory information, you must notify GLPS, in writing, on or before Friday, September 28, 2018. Seniors: The 2018 Black College Tour will take place October 22 through October 26 and will visit Wiley College, Texas College, Jarvis Christian College, Huston Tillotson University, Prairie View University and Texas Southern University. Grand Ledge HS Quiz Bowl Fall Season begins September 26th. If you are interested in participating in our club, our first meeting is Tuesday September 18th after school in Room 205. Please see Mrs. Simmons if you have any questions. Go Comets!
