AXA Achievement Scholarship - For applicants who are active in their community, have led a project that benefits others, or have overcome personal challenges. Apply online at www.axa.com/achievers. Further information is available in the Student Services Office. Deadline is December 15, 2019.
The Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT) Foundation - Is pleased to announce its scholarship and laptop programs for the 2019-2020 academic year. Click here to apply online. Applications are open to women who are interested in pursuing careers such as computer science, information systems, computer engineering, software engineering, computer information systems, digital forensics and software engineering. This is not a complete list, but rather serves as examples. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2020.
2019 MEA Scholarship - Must be a dependent of an MEA member or MEA retired member in good standing. Priority is given on basis of academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, school and community service, and students from lower-income households. Wacousta Lions Club - has a $500 scholarship to further the education and enhance the future of the chosen individual. The recipient of this scholarship will be determined solely by the Wacousta Lions Club. You do not have to live in Wacousta to apply. Visit the scholarship web site under student services or pick up a form in student services office. Deadline is March 22, 2019
Grand Ledge Junior Comets Softball Booster Club - The Junior Comets Booster Club will be awarding two $250 scholarships to former Junior Comets softball players. Consideration will be given to a student who has played within the Junior Comets softball program, volunteered time with the Grand Ledge Junior Comets or had parents who donated time and will be graduating in the current year. Applications available in the Student Services Office. Deadline is April 1, 2020.
ATTENTION STUDENTS! ATTENDANCE COUNTS!
There will be a Saturday school this week, December 14th From 8:00-11:00am in the Media Center.
Remember if you have been absent 7 or more times in any class without documentation, you may be at risk of losing credit. Speak with your Dean of Students to schedule Saturday School. The remaining Saturday schools for this trimester will be Jan. 25th, Feb. 8th, and Feb. 22nd.
Tuesday this week the students and staff had the opportunity to sample pumpkin smoothies at lunch. There were many students that asked for the recipe so they could make it over Thanksgiving break.
Makes 3 (8oz) Servings
1 cup apple juice
1 cup canned pumpkin
2 tbsp honey
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp ginger
1/8 tsp nutmeg
8 ounce vanilla yogurt
Whisk all ingredients together and serve.

This beautiful concert takes place at the HS auditorium, is the same on both nights and is a very popular event. Tickets are $5.00 each for general seating and may be purchased at the door.
